Terror War: Buratai Orders Field Commanders to Deny Terrorists Freedom of Action, after getting Real Time Virtual Briefing.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt. General Tukur Yusufu Buratai on Monday 24 September 2018, at Army Headquarters Operations Room received virtual real-time operational briefing from his field commanders prosecuting the war against Boko Haram terrorists.
Gen. Buratai who was in company of Principal Staff Officers at Army headquarters, interacted with the Theater Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Major General Dikko and other sub-commanders of various sectors where he was briefed on troop’s patrols and clearance efforts.
He was also briefed on the troop’s involvement in the progress of the fight against armed bandits in Zamfara state, the Birnin Gwari axis along Kaduna-Katsina highways and other operations including tackling militancy and kidnapping in the South-South and South East.
Consequent upon the briefings received, the COAS immediately issued Operational directives to Field Commanders and urged them to deny terrorists groups, militants, kidnappers and criminal’s freedom of action.
The virtual real-time operations brief from Theatre Command and other Field Commanders is holding after a while following the relocation of the Army Chief to the North East to personally direct the defeat by Nigerian troops of scores of Boko Haram terrorists who suffered heavily following their misadventure of attacking Gudumbali and Damasak in Northern Borno.
