The National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and other Vices (POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu has expressed displeasure on the incident of cult clash which occured on 27/7/2020 in the morning at Amadi – Ama Roundabout axis of PortHarcourt Rivers state between two rival cult identified as Greenlanders and Icelanders.
Although circumstances surrounding the alleged clash is being investigated as there was no reported death.
According to the POCACOV Coordinator while also condemning the incident, he urged Youths to remain focussed and law abiding and not to do anything that will destroy their future or cause shameful and untimely death as they are future Champions when they toe the line of peace and order.
He further advised Children, Youths, Parents, Care givers, Government and Non Governmental group, Faith based and Community Based Groups, Artisans, Corporate bodies, well meaning Nigerians amongst others to key into the Ongoing Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices ,(POCACOV).
Amaizu emphasized that the Programme which is of the Nigeria Police Force under the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu is aimed at saving Nigerian Children/Youths from the Claws of Cultism and other Vices and making society safe and secured.
“Pocacov is a community driven programme of the Nigeria Police Force anchored on Advocacy, Awareness Creation, Sensitization, Mentoring and Re-Orientation in line with the tenets of the community oriented policing”, he added.
