NAF @ 56: HQ Ground Training Command conducts outreach programmes; extend Palliatives to 210 families in Enugu state.

The Headquarters Ground Command, Nigerian Air Force  Enugu, on Saturday 25 April 2020 conducted Outreach programmes in Enugu as directed by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique  Baba Abubakar as parts of the events to mark 56th year anniversary of the NAF. 

This GTC said the outreach is aimed at supporting the Federal Governments efforts  towards alleviating the hardships on citizens occasioned by the lockdown to curb the spread of COVID 19 pandemic.

The AOC GTC Air Vice Marshal Idi Amin distributed food items and other palliatives to 130 families  of members of NAF  host communities in Enugu: 60 families at Agbani  and 70 families at Emene- Gabon Village.

Also,  Nigerian Airforce Officers Wives Association (NAF0WA) Chair person, Enugu  chapter, Hajiya Nafisat Amin distributed palliatives to 70 families at Abakpa bringing the total  number of families that benefitted from the CAS gesture to 210 families in Enugu state.   

Speaking at the outreach, AVM Idi Army intimated the large turn out of community representatives that the NAF  is  commemorating her 56th anniversary this year adding however that the celebration is coming amidst COVID - 19 global pandemic.
"Therefore CAS directed the 6 Commands of the NAF that are situated in the 6 geopolitical zones of the country to conduct Outreach in thier respective zone". 
"It is in compliance  with  the CAS directive that GTC conducted its Outreach today"

The Communities' leaders on behalf of their communities thanked and prayed for the leader of the NAF, Air  Marshal Sadique Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari.

During the distribution of the palliatives, scores of beneficiaries who were overjoyed with the gesture could not hide years of joy and happiness.
