Doctor dies in Katsina of COVID-19 case, as 16 new cases takes toll to 254

Sixteen new cases of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been reported in Nigeria:
 10 in Lagos, 2 in the FCT, 2 in Oyo, 1 in Delta and 1 in Katsina.
As at 09:30 pm 7th April there are 254 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. 
44 have been discharged with 6 deaths.

The development means as at 09:30 pm 7th April, there are now 130 cases of COVID-19 in Lagos, FCT- 50, Osun- 20, Oyo- 11
Others are Edo- 11, Bauchi- 6, Akwa Ibom- 5, Kaduna- 5, Ogun- 4, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Benue- 1, Ondo- 1, Kwara- 2, Delta- 1 and Katsina-1.

Meanwhile the deadly Coronavirus disease has killed a medical doctor in Katsina State, the government has said.

Governor Aminu Masari disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the unfortunate event at the Government house Katsina on Tuesday.

Masari said the deceased who is an indigene of kogi state was away for two weeks on visitation to Kogi and Lagos states.

According to him, on arrival, he complained of his health status and was admitted into the Nigeria Air Force hospital in Daura.

He added that however health personnel have been dispatched to Daura to identify and quarantine all persons that have come in contact with the deceased.
