NAF FIGHTER JETS BOMB BHTS VEHICLE WORKSHOP, FUEL AND AMMO DUMPS IN SAMBISA FOREST

In a renewed drive to further decapitate Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) Assets, Alpha jets of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have successfully carried out airstrikes and destroyed the Sect’s vehicle workshops, fuel and ammunition dumps all within the Sambisa forest.

With these strikes, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar yesterday re-assured Nigerians that the capabilities of Boko Haram terrorists’ have been further degraded to pave the way for the final onslaught by the land forces to meet President Mohammadu Buhari’s directives to bring insurgency in the North-East to an end.

A statement signed by the Director of Airforce Public Relations, Air Commodore Dele Alonge said, “The feat by the Nigerian Air Force came as a result of a painstaking Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) efforts by the NAF’s Unmanned Aerial vehicle (UAV) and ATR-42 platforms”.

It was learn’t that the renewed pounding of the terrorists’ ammunition and fuel dumps followed intelligence findings showing that following military offensives on several camps of the sect outside Sambisa, many of the terrorists were using the prevailing and unfriendly weather conditions, to run back into the Sambisa forest.
