Upcoming Elections: CP Anambra, Tony Olofu meets Political Gladiators, sues for peace

In an effort to sustain the existing public order and public safety in Anambra state, the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Tony Olofu, on Wednesday 22nd of September, 2021, called on politicians and political parties to imbibe the virtues of peace and tolerance in the state

Speaking during an interactive session with the Parties representative at the State Police Command, Awka, the CP assured the good people of Anambra State that the Police is committed to working with other patriotic stakeholders toward ensuring public order in the State before, during and after the political rallies.


He assured that as the head of internal security in the state, he will always be on ground to coordinate the security deployment and ensure all things being equal the rallies of political parties shall be hitch-free. 

A statement by DSP Ikenga Tichukwu, Public Relations Officer of the Command said, “The CP thereafterr called on members of the general public to coordinate themselves and cooperate with the security agents in the course of discharging our constitutional duty”.
