Following the intensive onslaught by troops of Operation Hadin Kai and the Multinational Joint Task Force on Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists, which has resulted in thousands of the terrorists and their families surrendering en-mass and the pivotal role played by the Nigerian Navy Special Boat operatives, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Zubairu Gambo on Wednesday visited Lake Chad to boost the morale of troops/naval forces.
During the vidit, Vice Admiral Gambo tasked the Naval forces on Professionalism and discipline to effectively combat and defeat the Boko Haram and Islamic West Africa Province Terriosts activities, within the Area of Responsibility.
While at the Baga end of Lake Chad as part of his assessment visit Gambo told the troops, “I urge you to demonstrate high sense of ethical values, courage, commitment and loyalty in the discharged of your constitutional duties.
“Our effective operations will result in neutralising many insurgents”
