Authorities of the Military Pensiions Board in Abuja have debunked reports circulating in the social media claiming that retired military personnel are to proceed for electronic pensions verification exeecise nationwide from Nov 20 to Dec 9, 2021.

Public Relations Officer said the MPB will officially and adequately inform retiress both within and outside the country when the time for such e-verification exercise will take place.
The statement reads, “Our attention has been drawn to a misinformation which is being circulated online that the Military Pensions Board is to hold Electronic Verification of pensioners from November 26 to December 9, 2021.
“This is totally false and our esteemed retirees are please requested to disregard the fake news.
“The Board further wishes to emphasis that whenever the proposed Electronic Verification Excercise (EVE) for military pensioners in Nigeria and in the diaspora is to commence, the MPB will adequately inform our esteemed retirees and the general public through national newspapers, television stations and other available broadcast media.
“Accordingly, as the Board continues to work tirelessly to ensure that the proposed EVE holds as soon as modalities for its smooth conduct is perfected, our retirees are please encouraged to remain patient and only source for information through legitimate sources to avoid being misled.
“Whenever in doubt about our processes and procedures, retirees and other Nigerians can reach the MPB on 09087447782 or 09087994694 for clarifications”, the statement said.
