Kogi Police Command assures of hitch-free Easter Celebrations; beef up 24 hours security

The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Ede Ayuba Ekpeji psc (+) on Friday felicitated with the Christian in the State on the occasion of 2021 Easter Celebrations just as he reiterated the resolve of the command to protection of lives and property during the Celebrations 

In a statement signed by DSP William Ovye Aya, Police Spokesman, CP Ayuba’s reiterated the Commands’ level or preparedness in synergy with other security agencies in the State to ensure adequate protection of lives and properties during the celebrations. 

He assured members of the public that the Command had made adequate deployment of its personnel across the State to secure public places and guarantee a safe and secure environment for all. 

“The Area Commanders, Tactical and operational Commanders as well as the Divisional Police Officers were charged to ensure a hitch free celebrations in their Area of Responsibilities” he said. 
He urged the law abiding members of the public to go about their lawful activities and warned would-be trouble makers to desist from any act capable of disrupting the existing peace the State is enjoying as the Command will not hesitate to deal with any one who may want to terrorize the good people of the State.

CP Ayuba Ede called on the members of the public to sharpen their power of observation and report any suspicious objects, movements and activities around their neighborhood to the Police or any other security agencies in the State to enable prompt response so as to curtail any act of criminality in the State.

The Police Commissioner used the occasion to thank the Kogi State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State for his continued support and encouragement to the Police in the fight against crime and criminality in the State. 

He also thanked the heads of security agencies in the State for the synergy the Command is enjoying and the traditional rulers as custodians of culture for their roles in implementing the Community Policing Project in their various Communities.

He also thanked the religious leaders for their prayers, the Press for their support, the vigilante, the hunters as well as patriotic members of the public for their support with credible information which has led to the arrest and prosecution of some criminal elements terrorizing the good people of the State.

To this end, the Commissioner of Police assures that the command’s tempo in the fight against crime and criminality and to reclaim public spaces remain unequivocal and unwavering.
