FCT Police Repels School Robbers, Recover Millions of Counterfeit Naira Notes; arrest One Chance gang

The FCT Police Command has arrested Eleven (11) suspects for one chance, Fraud and armed robbery along Durumi, Wuye and Kafe-Life Camp axis.

Amongst the suspects are 2 members of a 7-man robbery syndicate, arrested by Police Operatives from Life Camp during routine patrol, after attacking and robbing a school at Kafe-Life Camp. They are one Anthony Gambo 32years and Haruna Musa 25 years.

 According to a statement by ASP Yusuf Mariam, Spokesperson of FCT Command, “Other robbery suspects arrested are, “Mustapha Mohammed, Hamisu Umar and Nazifi Mohammed all male. Exhibits recovered are: one (1) HP Laptop and one (1) Apple Mac Laptop.

“In another development, Police Operatives from Galadinmawa arrested one Charity Timothy 23years and Sunday Godwin 23years along Durumi axis for one chance robbery.

“The suspects confessed to terrorizing residents along that axis. Exhibits recovered are: one (1) red colour Volkswagen Reg no. BWR 903 HE.

Relatedly, Police Operatives from Wuye Division arrested one Kamal Haruna 27years, Frank Onoja 46years, Adejoh Steven 54years and Guede Nelson 60years all male, for being in possession of counterfeit Naira notes.

“The suspects confessed to using the notes to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. Exhibits recovered are Five million seven hundred-thousand-naira (N5, 700,000) counterfeit naira notes.

“All the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation”

“The Command employs residents to report all suspicious movements, emergency or distress, through these numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883 and to report the conduct of Police Officers, call the Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) number: 09022222352.”
