The newly appointed Commissioner of Police FCT Command, CP Babaji Sunday on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit on the Commander, Guards Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brig Gen Muhammad Takuti Usman.
The Commissioner in his opening remarks stated that the purpose of his visit was to familiarise himself with his new environment.
He said though it was not his first time serving in the FCT but his appointment has given him a higher responsibility which requires stronger synergy with the Army.
He thanked the Commander for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage and encouraged the Brigade to continue to support the Nigerian Police in ensuring that lives and properties are adequately secured within the FCT and it’s environs.
In his response the Commander Guards Brigade thanked the Commissioner and his team for the visit and promised to continue to support the Nigerian Police in any way possible to ensure that their purpose which is the protection of lives and properties are achieved, ensuring that crime rates are reduced to the bearest minimum.
The Commander wished him a successful tour of tenure and looked forward to having a good working relationship with him and his team.
The Commissioner was accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ben Igwe and other members of his management team.
