NAOWA President Commission’s NAOWA Creche, Nursery/Primary School & NAOWA Secretariat in SAPPERS Barracks, Ilese Ijebu Ode

The President Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), Mrs Salamatu F Yahaya  on 28 July 2022  commissioned the newly built NAOWA Creche, Nursery and Primary School  and NAOWA Secretariat at Sapppers’ Barrack’s, Ilese Ijebu-Ode Ogun State.
Both projects are initiatives of the wife of the Corps Commander, Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers /NAOWA Coordinator Nigerian Corps of Engineers Chapter Mrs Adebukola Kadiri.
Mrs Salamatu applauded the NAOWA Coordinator Nigerian Army Engineers Chapter Mrs Adebukola Kadiri for implementing the blueprint of NAOWA founding members and keying into her vision of “Sustaining Legacies and Upholding the Tenets of Unity and Service”.
The fully furnished NAOWA Nursery and Primary School comprise of a block of six Classrooms and 2 two administrative offices while, the NAOWA Secretariat comprises of two offices and a conference room.
Mrs Salamatu also visited  the Medical Reception Station in the Barracks and donated  some medical equipments including delivery bed, oxygen concentrator, suction machine, wheel chair, Baby’s Cot, bed sheets and other equipments required for improved health care delivery services. Relief items were also issued to in-patients.
Highlights of the commissioning ceremony include guided tour of the projects, launching of Sappers Magazine, dance presentations by children, youths and members of the Nigerian Army Soldiers Wives Association (NASWA), presentation of certificate, souvenirs and group photographs.
Prominent personalities that witnessed the event include, the General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army, Maj Gen UT Musa, and the Corps  Commander Nigerian Army Corps of Engineers, Maj Gen KO  Kadiri.
Others were representative of the Governor of Ogun state, AIG Olusola Subair (Rtd) Special Assistant on Security, the Ilese of  Ilese Oba Oluremi Obayomi, Past Coordinators NAOWA Headquarters Nigerian Army Engineers, officers and   Commanding Officers.
