Air Vice Marshal Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo and his family on Sunday 31st of March 2019 organized a Thanksgiving Service at the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) Abuja branch, following his exoneration by an Abuja High Court from alleged involvement in fraudulent practices.
As a result of the court judgment which acquitted him of all allegations, the EFCC returned all his seized property while the Nigerian Airforce High Command reinstated the senior officer with all his privileges.
The Resident Pastor of KICC, Abuja, Pastor Dipo Alebiosu was on hand to officiate the Service which was attended by the Regional Pastor, Pastor Femi Faseru.
In his testimony, AVM Ojuawo likened the experience of what he passed through to trial of faith by God almighty and not a man made punishment noting that having tested his faith, God also saved him.
He told the gathering of well wishers and family friends that, “When we stray away from the part of righteousness, we give room to the devil , our tormentor, who is ever ready to either steal, kill or destroy our joy and peace (John 10: 10)
“Therefore, we need to be sober, vigilant and rely solely on God. Although God had made available all things pertaining to life and godliness; but like the prodigal son, we often leave the presence of God by not adhering to his doctrines and dictates.
“Although God is long suffering and always eager to protect and remove us from the snare of the wicked. However, when the cup of our iniquities is full and when we stop dwelling in the secret place of the most high God, we will no longer abide under his shadow (Ps 91:1). Then the devil will seize and deal wickedly with us”.
He added, “My dear compatriots, let us run this life race focusing on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 8:13). We have been assured that the conclusion of all the whole matter is that if God is with us, who can be against.
“You should be therefore being persuaded that nothing can separate us from the love of God. The peace of God which passeth all understanding should keep your hearts and minds through Jesus. Shalom!
